On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Kyoto Bunkyo University will host "Discover! in Kyoto Bunkyo University," a career support program for high school students. They are currently accepting applications for 20 high school students on a first-come, first-served basis for each of the four themes.
"Discover!", which will be held for the first time at a university in the Kansai region, is a career support project for teenagers that promotes a collaborative high school-university inquiry-based learning and career guidance program, with over 100,000 high school students participating from all over Japan.
"Discover! in Kyoto Bunkyo University" offers a learning environment where students can choose from four themes—media culture, marketing, practical sociology, clinical psychology, and children's play—to engage in exploration that cannot be experienced within the confines of school, to discover the joy of academics, and to find a new version of themselves.
Participation is limited to the first 20 applicants for each program; pre-registration is required. Participation is free of charge. Dress code is casual, but participants should bring writing materials and a smartphone. Parents cannot participate in the programs, but they can attend the orientation and closing ceremony/certificate presentation. Lunch will be provided during lunchtime, and the event is designed to allow students from different schools to interact and have fun together. For detailed program content and the day's timetable, please refer to the special website.
