Nagoya Gakuin University conducted a tourism community development human resource development program in Takayama City, Hida District, Gifu Prefecture, for about a month from August to September 2016. As part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's land (knowledge) base development project, which has been underway since 8, students experienced work in the tourism industry of Takayama City and conducted a field survey on tourism plans that convey the charm of Takayama.
According to Nagoya Gakuin University, 11 students participated.I mainly experienced work at hotels and inns in the city, and learned the front desk and customer service in the field.In addition, we visited sake brewing companies and furniture makers in the city to learn the manufacturing process, and also tried drinking and comparing sake and satoyama cycling. During the three days at the end of August, we all camp together to deepen our understanding of the city while sightseeing in the city, and conducted a field survey to find out where the charm lies and what issues remain.
Based on the results of the field survey, the students will devise a tourism plan and an effective public relations plan that convey the charm of Takayama, and will present them in November.
The purpose of this program is to develop human resources who will lead the tourism industry in Hida Takayama in the future.Participants were recruited for those who wish to work in the tourism industry and those who wish to make a U-turn to Takayama.
