Tokyo Medical University (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) and Kagawa Nutrition University (Sakado City, Saitama Prefecture) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement on October 2016, 10.We will actively promote mutual exchanges between faculty members and students, and promote efforts to contribute to a healthy life through "medicine" and "food."

 With the aging society and medical expenses expanding, the Health and Medical Strategy Promotion Law was enacted in 2014, and how to extend healthy life expectancy has become a major issue.Tokyo Medical University, which celebrated its 100th anniversary, has been focusing not only on the treatment of illness but also on preventive medicine.Kagawa Nutrition University has also been researching and educating "building a body that does not get sick" through nutrition for over 80 years.This comprehensive cooperation agreement has the meaning of further advancing these efforts and contributing to society at large.

 In the future, the two universities will strengthen cooperation in important areas to support people's healthy lives, with the keywords of "preventive medicine," "health promotion," and "aging."We will promote the practice and development of human exchange and joint research that make the best use of each characteristic.
