In the Department of Law and Administration of the Faculty of Comprehensive Policy, Tokiwa University, we invited 9 local government officials and members of the Diet who are in charge of policy and office work at the front lines of Ibaraki Prefecture and the prefecture's local governments (14 local governments). A local government cooperation course "local government management theory" is being held.
Local government cooperation courses have been held since April, 4 times in total.This is an epoch-making initiative in which the staff of many related local governments give lectures on various themes and exchange opinions with students. By learning, a high educational effect is expected.
In the 3rd (May 5th), the lecture "Congress Revitalization Strategy" by Mr. Hironori Iwasaki, Deputy Secretary General of the Tote City Council, was held.Toride City's parliamentary reform has a reputation for being one of the leading efforts in Japan, such as the introduction of online conferences, parliamentary training sessions by staff, and a mock parliament in collaboration with a local junior high school.
The students listened enthusiastically to the lecture by Deputy Director Iwasaki, who has led the reform of the Toride city parliament for many years, and many students gathered for questions after the lecture.Through the lecture, the students' consciousness seems to have changed from the recognition that the parliament is "a distant place" to "the place where the representatives of the citizens discuss and decide the measures" and "I want to go to the local parliament next time".
From now on, on July 7th, the 13th "Nuclear Industry and Town Development" Tokai Village Industrial Policy Division, Hideki Ouchi, and on July 11th, the 7th "Women's Advancement and Prefectural Movement" Ibaraki Prefecture Labor Policy Division, Suzuki Lectures by Mr. Asami, Mr. Takahiko Shiobara, Ibaraki Prefecture Women's Active Participation / Prefectural Collaboration Division, and Mr. Mayumi Honami are scheduled.The general public can attend as long as there are seats, and those who wish to attend should contact Tsutomu Yoshida's laboratory in advance.
