Showa Women's University Faculty of International Studies launches a double degree program with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Queensland, Australia (Brisbane, Queensland).Students participating in this program will study for a total of five years, three years at Showa Women's University and two years at the University of Queensland, aiming to obtain two degrees from universities in Japan and Australia.
The University of Queensland is the oldest university in Queensland, founded in 1909, and is one of the top eight universities in Australia.It has received a high evaluation of 8th place in the world university ranking 1 announced by Quacquarelli Symonds, a world university evaluation organization, and has signed an agreement with Showa Women's University since 2022.
In order to participate in the Double Degree Program, students are required to meet the high grade criteria of "IELTS 6.5 or higher or TOEFL iBT 87 points or higher, GPA 2.8 or higher", after which students are required to meet the University of Queensland Faculty of Humanities and Sociology. Select two from a wide range of majors, and acquire a total of 2 credits, 16 credits each.
We will provide a scholarship system for students participating in this program to fully support students who are willing to take on challenges.
Showa Women's University started the "Double Degree Program" in 2014, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which is a national priority university in China, Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea, Seoul Women's University, and American Pennsylvania on the same site. For Temple University, Japan Campus.Currently, 47 people from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 10 people from Seoul Women's University, 2 people from Sookmyung Women's University, and 4 people from Temple University Japan Campus are participating.
