Ochanomizu University will hold an online lecture on helping female students choose their career path to science as part of the "Challenge Program for Science Front Runners".
The "Challenge Program for Science Front Runners" is a project of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) that raises the interest and interest of female junior and senior high school students in the science field and supports various efforts to advance to the science field. Ochanomizu University's program adopted by the "Science Career Selection Support Program".
The online lecture to be held this time is aimed at teachers and parents, and the daily life of female students studying in the science field so that they can give advice and support when they are consulted about career choices from female students and children to science. The purpose is to introduce the career path after that and deepen the understanding of science course selection.
At the event, a lecture "Looking back on the days spent as a science female student" by Maika Ito, a graduate of the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Ochanomizu University, who works for Benesse Corporation, and global human resource development and gender equality at Ochanomizu University Lectures by Associate Professor Yuki Yamagishi of the Participation Headquarters, such as "The employment situation of female science students and their career paths after that," are planned.
