The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science announced nine undisclosed Type A-28 projects out of the 25 projects adopted for the 2 University Global Expansion Project.It is a project that has been evaluated as contributing to the development of human resources who can play an active role internationally and the global expansion of university education, and includes Osaka University and Waseda University.
According to the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the A-2 projects were adopted by Peking University in China, Korea University, Waseda University, which promotes joint development of global leaders for social change, and Peking University in China and South Korea. 5 projects from 9 schools and 9 schools including Osaka University, which implements leader training programs for solving global health problems.
The purpose of the global expansion capability enhancement project is to support the international collaboration project of domestic universities, and there are three types, type A-1, A-2, and B.In September, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology adopted 3 projects of 1 schools such as Kobe University and the University of Tokyo for Type A-8 and 8 projects of 10 schools such as Keio University and Meiji University for Type B.
Type A forms a consortium (* 1) with universities in China and South Korea and implements an educational cooperation program.There are Type A-1 which further enhances the conventional program and Type A-2 which is newly tackled.Type B is targeted for educational cooperation program implementation projects in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam, where exchanges between universities were poor in the ASEAN region.
