Kinki University will carry out comprehensive selection (AO entrance examination) at the Faculty of Informatics, which will be established in April 2022 (Reiwa 4).All selections will be conducted online, and one of the application conditions will be experience of participating in external information-related contests and acquisition of information-related qualifications.This is the first time that Kinki University has conducted a comprehensive selection (AO entrance examination) completely online.
The Faculty of Informatics Comprehensive Selection Examination (AO) aims to acquire students with diverse possibilities that cannot be measured by deviation values or grades.Those who strongly desire to study in the Faculty of Informatics, have excellent abilities in the field of information, or have advanced programming experience, are interested in the highly digitized future and the challenges for its realization, and are challenged. It is intended for those who are willing to make suggestions for solutions.
Those who are recognized as having excellent programming ability in the selection process and who have high entrance examination results will be subject to the special scholarship system of full tuition exemption and admission fee exemption.The exam is conducted completely online.The self-promotion video submitted at the time of application will be used for the primary selection, and other documents will be judged comprehensively. In the secondary selection, a "presentation" and "oral examination" will be conducted.The number of applicants is 15 or less.
In particular, in order to discover and nurture "Japanese genius creators", the "Unexplored IT Human Resources Discovery and Development Project" implemented by the Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA), an independent administrative agency under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as one of the national projects. Adopters of "Mitou Junior" conducted by the general incorporated association Mitou are exempt from online presentations and oral examinations, and are only required to have an interview to confirm their willingness to attend school.After further examination, a special student system with full tuition exemption will be applied.
