The outline of the new test, which replaces the National Center for University Entrance Examinations newly established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the high school version of the National Achievement Test, will be introduced in two stages, the current course of study and the next course of study. Presented at the provincial expert meeting. In the future, we will use this outline as a starting point to fill in the contents of the two tests.

According to the outline plan, the "University Admission Applicant Academic Ability Evaluation Test (tentative name)" will be introduced in 2020 instead of the center test.In order to emphasize the evaluation of thinking ability, judgment ability, and expressive ability utilizing knowledge, we are going to make various question formats such as not only multiple-choice type but also short-sentence description type and interlocking multiple-choice question.English also emphasizes writing and conversation. For "CBT-IRT", which is extracted from a large number of stocked problems by computer and set, we will consider an appropriate implementation method on the premise of introduction. We plan to have fewer exam subjects than the center exam.

From 2036, which will be under the new course of study, we will continue to evaluate thinking ability, judgment ability, and expressiveness in various question formats, including high-difficulty questions that difficult universities can utilize for enrollment selection.Corresponding subjects will be considered according to the contents of the course of study under consideration by the Central Council for Education.

The "High School Basic Achievement Test (tentative name)", which is the high school version of the National Achievement Test, will be introduced in 3 in three subjects: Japanese, English, and Mathematics. In order to carry out smoothly, the number of subjects is narrowed down, and science, geography, and citizens are not included at the beginning. The questions are centered on knowledge and skills, and some questions ask for thinking, judgment, and expressiveness. From the trial stage in 2019, we will aim to implement "CBT-IRT" so that high school second and third graders can take the exam twice a year. The examination fee is about 2017 yen each time. After 2, which will be under the new course of study, questions will be given based on the required courses that are being considered by the Central Council for Education.

However, this draft outline is just a starting point, and from now on, the contents will be adjusted by exchanging opinions with the principals' association, private school organizations, PTA organizations, local boards of education, etc., including the expert meeting.
