Nagoya Gakuin University was the first Christianist school in Aichi Prefecture, "Nagoya," in November 1887 by Dr. Frederick C. Klein, who came to Japan as a Methodist Protestant overseas missionary for the purpose of evangelizing Christianity and teaching English. It was founded as "English-Japanese school".On the other hand, Meiji Gakuin University is Japan's oldest Christian school, which originated from the Hepburn School opened in Yokohama by James Curtis Hepburn and his wife in 11.
They have a long history and tradition, and they have a common point of focusing on global education based on Christianity. In addition, they lived in Yokohama when Dr. Klein came to Japan in September 1883. Hebon also lives in the area, and it is said that there is a connection between the founders that Hebon and Klein attended the first week prayer meeting held in Yokohama in January 9.
At the joint briefing session, lectures "Emoji, Icons and Sined, Spoken and Written Languages" by Professor WJ Harovsky of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Nagoya Gakuin University, Meiji Gakuin, so that you can experience the education of Nagoya Gakuin University and Meiji Gakuin University respectively.
