The Global Learning Community / Study Fellowship, a non-profit organization, is recruiting participants for the sponsorship project "Komicare Camp" until September 2021, 9 (Sat) 18:23 (Japan time).An intensive fall program for high school and graduates nationwide who want to go on to overseas universities, including community colleges, and is held online every Wednesday and Saturday from October 59nd (Sat) to November 10th (Sat). do.
In the Study Abroad Fellowship, we have been providing support from active overseas university students for eight years for high school students who want to study abroad at overseas universities. The "Community College Camp" is one of the sponsorship projects started by the Study Abroad Fellowship in 8 for junior and senior high school students whose learning opportunities are decreasing due to the expansion of the influence of COVID-2020.
There are still few students who go directly to overseas universities from Japanese high schools, and many of them, especially local residents and public high school students, encounter opposition within the high school. At the "Community College Camp", experienced overseas university students become mentors and provide real study abroad information unique to experienced students, such as self-analysis to understand why you want to study abroad through personal interviews, application methods, transfer information, etc.We will support the participants with the goal of becoming "a state in which they can convince themselves and choose their course".
In addition, we will create a community to aim for overseas study and provide a place to connect with friends and mentors nationwide even after the camp.
The dates and times are from Saturday, October 2021nd to Saturday, November 10th, 2 every Wednesday 11: 13-20: 30 and every Saturday 22: 30-14: 00.It is held online, and if it is difficult to participate, it is possible to respond by distributing recorded videos and providing materials at a later date.The target is first year high school students and above (including graduates), and the participation fee is 17 yen (tax included).Regarding the participation fee, we also offer scholarships to subsidize part or all of the participation fee in consideration of the family situation.
