The Kyoto Prefectural Police Headquarters adopted a pedestrian crossing that looks three-dimensional using trick art proposed by Hidehiro Takashima, a student of the Faculty of Law, Kyoto Sangyo University, and introduced it in two locations under Kyoto Prefecture with the cooperation of Kameoka City.By encouraging car drivers to pay attention and slow down, we aim to prevent children's traffic accidents and raise awareness of traffic safety on school roads.

Takashima seminar students from the Faculty of Law, Kyoto Sangyo University participated in the 3rd University Seminar Competition Project "Police & College in KYOTO 2020" sponsored by the Kyoto Prefectural Truck Association and the Transportation Planning Division, Transportation Department, Kyoto Prefectural Police Headquarters. As a "pedestrian priority measure for pedestrian crossings without traffic lights," he proposed a pedestrian crossing using trick art that looks three-dimensional, and received the highest award.

This Takashima seminar student's proposal was adopted for the first time in Kyoto Prefecture, and a three-dimensional pedestrian crossing using the optical illusion was introduced in front of an elementary school in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture. The opening ceremony was held in line with the opening ceremony of the new semester, and children were seen crossing cheerfully and safely.By introducing this three-dimensional pedestrian crossing, it is expected that the speed will be suppressed by attracting the driver's attention.

The invented Takashima seminar student said, "I am very pleased that the proposed measures were actually introduced and contributed to the traffic safety of the region. Taking this opportunity, each and every one of us once again took the opportunity to go to the pedestrian crossing. I would like you to reaffirm the traffic rules. "
