The University of Tsukuba was selected as the highest rated S in the mid-term evaluation of nine projects for strengthening the global expansion capabilities of universities mainly targeting Russia and India, which were adopted by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in 2014.In addition, 9 projects such as Ritsumeikan University and Hokkaido University were rated A, and Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology was rated B.

 According to the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, five projects mainly targeted at Russia and four projects mainly targeted at India were evaluated in the middle.
Excellent efforts that are expected to achieve the business objectives S, those that can achieve the business objectives by continuing the efforts so far A, those that require further efforts and improvements to achieve the initial objectives B, if there is an effort that makes it difficult to achieve the purpose and the reduction of financial support is appropriate, C, and if it is extremely difficult to achieve the business purpose and the discontinuation of financial support is appropriate, it is judged as D.

 Of these, one was judged as S by the University of Tsukuba's "Multilingual Human Resources Development Program for Russian-speaking Countries." A-judgment is Niigata University's "Building a Global Medical Human Resources Development Framework that Contributes to Japan-Russia Economic Development", Ritsumeikan University's "Advanced Science and Technology Human Resources Development that Can Play an Active Role in Different Cultures and Diversity Society in South Asia", Hokkaido University Seven projects, including "Expert Development Program for Leading Sustainable Environment, Culture, and Development in the Far East and Arctic".

 The B judgment is one of the "Development of intelligently strong leading scientists and engineers who can play an active role overseas such as India" at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. There were no projects that were judged as C or D.
