According to a survey by Recruit Works Institute, a research institute of the Recruit Group, the employment front for university and graduate students scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2018 is expected to become the highest seller market in the distribution and construction industries. It seems that the number of job offers for small and medium-sized enterprises, where labor shortages continue, will increase, but students are also looking toward large enterprises, and it seems that it will be difficult to secure human resources.

According to Recruit Holdings, the number of job vacancies increased and decreased in 2017 and 2016, and the number of applicants for employment in private companies was based on a survey of 2 private companies conducted from February to March. Estimates were made from the report and the questionnaire conducted in March for 3 university students and 7,198 graduate students.

The total number of job offers for private companies nationwide in the spring of 2018 is 75.5. It increased by 2017 (73.4%) from 2.1 in 2.8.On the other hand, the number of students who are planning to graduate in March 2018 is 3, which is 42.3% higher than the number of students who want to work in a private company, which was 2017 in 42.2.As a result, the job openings-to-applicants ratio for university and graduate students has reached 0.3 times, which is estimated to increase by 1.78 points from 2017 times in 1.74.

Looking at the job openings-to-applicants ratio by industry, the distribution industry is 11.32. It increased by 2017 points from 6.98 times in 4.34, surpassing 2008 times of the March 3 graduation, and reached a record high. The construction industry is 7.31 times. It is 9.41 points higher than 2017 times in 6.25, which is also a record high.

By company size, employees with less than 300 employees are 2017 times higher than 2.29 by 6.45 points. In contrast, companies with more than 5,000 employees are 2017 times lower than 0.2 by 0.39 points. While large companies have become narrow gates, the fact that the seller market for small and medium-sized enterprises is accelerating is also highlighted.
