The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has announced the progress of high school connection reforms such as university entrance exams.In the university entrance examination reform, the examination / preparation group will consider how to implement descriptive questions and evaluate the four skills of English, while also evaluating the three elements of academic ability (* 4) in discussions with high school and university officials. It was revealed that they are exchanging opinions on the improvement of the survey report.

 According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the selection of university admissions will be converted to an entrance examination that evaluates the "three elements of academic ability" of the examinees in a multifaceted and comprehensive manner through a common test and individual selection. Instead of the exam, we will carry out the "Common Test for University Admissions (tentative name)".

 The main changes are the introduction of descriptive questions in Japanese and mathematics, as well as the evaluation of the four skills of "reading, listening, speaking, and writing" in English.For this reason, we will present proposals that include the use of private qualifications and certification exams, and listen to the opinions of related organizations and experts.
For individual selection, new rules will be set, such as requiring evaluation of the three elements of academic ability in the AO admission test and recommended admission test after 2020.

 In the future, we would like to hear opinions and public comments from experts, high schools, and related organizations of universities, and after further consideration, we would like to formulate and announce the implementation policy of the new test by the end of June.

 The high school basic academic ability test (tentative name) is a system in which the national government shows certain requirements and certifies private exams, etc., measures the degree of establishment of basic academic ability with various tools, and through utilization at each high school etc. We are planning to enhance the guidance.The name is "Basic diagnosis of learning for high school students (tentative name)", and we are aiming to start operation by the end of FY2018.
