Otemon Gakuin University will establish a new Faculty of Law (tentative name, under planning) in April 2022, following the Faculty of International Studies and Faculty of Letters, which was established in April 4.
The new Faculty of Law aims to produce professionals who have knowledge and legal background in law and can play an active role in companies by making use of them.With the establishment of the Faculty of Law, from April 2023, there will be an eight-faculty system covering the Faculty of Law, Literature, International, Psychology, Society, Economy, Management, Regional Creation, Humanities, and Sociology.
The Faculty of Law will have a Department of Law, and the enrollment capacity will be 230 people.The Department of Law consists of a policy and legal course and a corporate legal course.The policy and legal affairs course is mainly aimed at national and local government employees and NPOs, and develops the ability to operate laws and make policies based on knowledge of administrative law and local autonomy law.
In addition, the Corporate Legal Course is a course that mainly aims to find employment in a private company, and develops the ability to grasp things logically and fairly based on legal grounds based on legal knowledge such as economic law and labor law. ..We will develop human resources who can play an active role in private companies by making use of the legal knowledge and legal background that they have acquired.The installation plan is planned, and the contents are subject to change.
