The National Center for University Entrance Examinations will take students who could not take the common test for university admission on January 1 and 29 due to the tsunami caused by the eruption of the Tonga submarine volcano in the South Pacific and the stab injury on the street in front of the Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. It was decided to accept it as the subject of the supplementary examination to be conducted in Tokyo.
According to the National Center for University Entrance Examinations, the common test for university admissions scheduled at the Miyako Junior College Department of Iwate Prefectural University in Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture was canceled on the 2th of the second day due to the tsunami, but the 16th was 16 days. It will be carried out in the daily supplementary test.
For cases where the examination could not be taken at a venue other than Miyako Junior College due to the evacuation order of the tsunami, the additional examination will be approved after confirming the circumstances at the University Entrance Examination Center or the inquiry university stated on the examination ticket.
Additional examinations are permitted even for cases in which the examination could not be taken on the Hongo campus due to a stab injury that occurred in front of the Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo.Mental upset caused by the incident is also the reason for accepting the additional examination, and the National Center for University Entrance Examinations has already approved it for one examinee, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology is considering some kind of remedy for the stabbed examinee.
The follow-up exam for the Common Test for University Admissions was set as a countermeasure against new coronavirus infectious diseases, but since two unexpected situations occurred in a row, it was added to the follow-up exam as a remedy.
