 The "Ebola Virus Rapid Diagnostic Kit" utilizes the research results of the International Science and Technology Cooperation Program (SATREPS) for Global Issues and the "Investigative Research Project for Viral Zoonotic Diseases in Africa" ​​underway in Zambia, and Professor Takada Was developed as a prototype through joint research with Denka Seiken Co., Ltd.Since the test results can be obtained in about 15 minutes without the need for special equipment or devices, it is expected to be used even in areas where medical facilities are not sufficiently equipped.

 This donation was made as a result of an expert (National Center for Global Health and Medicine), Noriaki Ikeda, who is dispatched to the Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo as a health advisor in response to the outbreak of Ebola virus disease, asking Professor Takada to donate the kit. It will be provided free of charge with the cooperation of Seiken Co., Ltd.

 The provided kit will be used in future tests and diagnoses for patients suspected of being infected with Ebola virus disease and animals that may carry the virus at the National Institute of Biomedical Sciences in the Democratic Republic of Congo and domestic clinics. It is said that it will be planned.
