On June 6th, Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Co., Ltd. and Tokyokaiyo University announced that they will be able to supply power from ships and electric vehicles in the event of a large-scale power outage due to a disaster, etc., in a rational and economical manner.・ Announced that it has developed a "sea power connecting system".Then, with the cooperation of Yokosuka City, which is actively introducing electric vehicles, we conducted a test introduction in an actual building and conducted an operation verification test of an elevator using the battery of an electric vehicle.

In the event of a large-scale power outage caused by a disaster, it is necessary to ensure the safety of users and residents in addition to maintaining the building functions. In particular, stopping the elevator due to a power outage has become a social problem because it is extremely difficult to move from the middle and upper floors. However, the emergency generators installed in the buildings mainly supply power to disaster prevention equipment, and there are not many buildings that have generators for security power sources. Also, in small buildings, the emergency generator itself is not installed, and all electrical equipment is shut down in the event of a power outage.

The system developed this time provides a means to transport the power obtained from a ship to the inland area by an electric vehicle, and supplies power reasonably and economically to a building that does not have an emergency (security) power supply. Can be supplied. In addition, it is equipped with an "AC power supply stabilizer" that converts the lamp power supplied from the electric vehicle battery into power power, and can operate the elevator even during a power outage. On June 6, at the Kurihama Administration Center of Yokosuka City Hall, we conducted an operation verification test of an elevator (10F / 6kW) using an electric vehicle battery (3kW) and obtained data on power consumption during operation.

By accumulating know-how through the data of power consumption during operation obtained this time and the planned elevator operation demonstration experiment in high-rise rental housing (6th floor and above) in Tokyo, it is possible to operate efficiently with energy saving. We will proceed with studies for practical use such as the capacity of electric motors and the number of operations.
