NTT Communications Co., Ltd., with the cooperation of the Hydraulics Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science, is conducting a demonstration experiment using citizen-participation-type "digital disaster prevention drills" to realize disaster prevention and mitigation in flood-damaged high-risk areas. Will start in April 2022.
The demonstration experiment will be conducted in a city on a digital twin that is realistically reproduced by 3DCG, including stores and signboards that will be used as landmarks during actions, based on open urban space data and original data provided by the government.NTT Com will analyze the behavior data by simulating the behavior before and after the flood damage occurs when the citizens participate in the city as an avatar. In this way, we will consider evacuation behavior of citizens, visualization of risk points at the time of disaster, collection of information on disaster prevention awareness and behavior change for flood damage before and after participation in "digital disaster prevention drill", and measures to safely evacuate. In addition, the reproduction of flood damage according to the actual situation such as flooding of rivers will be performed under the advice of the Hydraulics Laboratory of Tokyo University of Science.
The period of the demonstration experiment is from April 2022 to March 4. "Digital disaster prevention drills" will be held multiple times within the period to improve accuracy by repeatedly extracting and improving issues.
In the future, we will utilize the data collected in the demonstration experiments to make proposals for disaster prevention and mitigation to companies and governments, and to consider the development of new services and solutions with co-creation partners (company / government, etc.) in the future. , Aim to solve a wide range of social issues such as aging society and food loss as well as weather disasters by utilizing "participatory digital twin simulation platform".
