The proposal of a joint team consisting of students from Shibaura Institute of Technology and Waseda University was adopted for the university competition "Enemane House 2017", and it was decided to participate in the competition.Both schools have won the highest award in the past, but this is the first time they have participated in a joint team.

 According to Shibaura Institute of Technology, the joint team includes Takayuki Akimoto Laboratory, Kazuya Shite Laboratory, Keita Qingdao Laboratory from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Shinichi Tanabe Laboratory, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Creative Science and Engineering, Waseda University. A total of 47 people from the Hiroto Takaguchi Laboratory and the Yasuhiro Hayashi Laboratory of the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Technology will participate.

 The theme this time is "In a corner of this suburb-a story of about 80 years between me and my house."We will actually design, build, and demonstrate the model room.The exhibition place is in the Umekita Phase 2 area in front of JR Osaka Station in Osaka City, and is scheduled to appear around November.
Enemane House 2017 is an architectural demonstration competition against universities with the theme of "Life Design Innovation-Creating diverse new values ​​for homes and communities".The Net Zero Energy House (ZEH), which combines high heat insulation of houses, high-efficiency equipment, solar power generation, etc. to reduce the amount of housing energy consumed in one year to almost zero, is attracting attention, and students are flexible. The aim is to have people plan creative housing with new ideas.

 In addition to the Shibaura Institute of Technology and Waseda University joint team, four teams from Kyoto University, Kinki University, Tokyo Metropolitan University, and Mukogawa Women's University Graduate School will participate in the competition.
