Showa Women's University will offer all undergraduate students a simultaneous course "Photograph theories and practices-photographic culture in" with the adjacent Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ). "Japan and the US" is started.
The simultaneous course "Theory and Practice of Photography-Photo Culture in Japan and the United States" is a class in which lectures and some practical training are given for the purpose of learning the basic theory and practice of photographic media.Students from both universities will learn about photography through practical training and group work while learning the theory and history of photography, and understand the culture, values, differences in perspectives, and commonalities between Japan and the United States.In addition, acquire presentation ability through presentation of assignments.
Lectures will be given in Japanese in the first semester and in English in the second semester.The target is the first year or above of all faculties, and the maximum number of students at Showa Women's University is 1 out of the 38 students.This initiative was realized because Temple University, Japan Campus is located on the premises of Showa Women's University, and both schools have deepened their cooperation so far.We will cooperate with each other and work hard to develop global human resources.
Showa Women's University has set the development of global human resources as a major goal of the school. The overseas campus "Showa Boston" was set up in Massachusetts, USA in April 1988, and the British School in Tokyo Showa (BST) opened in September 4 at the Setagaya Campus, followed by Komazawa Park International in November 2006. The school (KPIS) has also joined the school. In August 9, Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) moved to the premises and is deepening cooperation with Showa Women's University and affiliated schools.
