Jissen Women's University (Hino City, Tokyo) held the "Forum to Think Together with High School Students-To Liven Up the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games" on August 2017, 8 at the Shibuya Campus.Twenty-eight high school students from all over the country, 22 students from Jissen Women's University as facilitators, and 28 members of society from member companies of the business community council such as the Olympics and Paralympics participated as supporters.

 In June 2014, Jissen Women's University signed a partnership agreement with the Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In the "International Understanding and Career Development" class, we are developing an active learning type class for examining issues related to the competition.In addition, various efforts have been made, such as holding a session inviting the people involved in the Organizing Committee.

 Since 2016, we have been holding a workshop with high school students who will be university students in 2020, making the best use of our activities so far.The purpose of this forum is to think about the future diversity society by gaining "awareness" of barriers that are close to us while creating a barrier-free map.

 On the day of the forum, Akihito Tanaka, a designated player for strengthening the Japan national team for blind soccer, will be on stage. A special lecture entitled "Towards a Barrier-Free Society" was given on what precautions should be taken to support people with disabilities.At the subsequent workshop, a group of high school and college students shared the current status of the barrier-free map from the perspective of the visually impaired and wheelchairs.We discussed the types of barriers, how to view barriers, and how to improve them.

 The students who participated said, "It was a forum that not only high school students but also university students had much to gain. And I feel that the experience of facilitators and group work will definitely be useful in various situations in the future. I did.
