According to a survey by Dr. Atsushi Hamano of the University of Tsukuba Medical School, the stress felt by healthcare professionals in home medical care due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection is strong except for doctors such as nurses and social workers.Although it has been clarified that Korona-ka adversely affects the mental health of medical staff, it is expected that it will be used to support home medical staff because the survey of home medical staff is limited.

According to the University of Tsukuba, instructors Hamano and his colleagues conducted a web questionnaire in August 37 targeting employees of 2021 facilities in Japan who are providing home-visit medical care, and analyzed the responses of a total of 8 people.

As a result, it was found that the fear of the new coronavirus was greater in nurses and clerical staff than in doctors, and the depressive symptoms were greater in nurses, social workers and clerical staff.Instructors Hamano and his colleagues often think that it is not possible to secure an appropriate social distance depending on the housing environment, because it is often the case that the first contact with patients and their families is other than doctors, while the infection status at the destination is unknown.

The support that home health care workers feel is necessary is 68.2% for the distribution system of infection protection equipment by the national and local governments, 57.2% for the system that supports psychological stress and emotional fatigue, and consultation with infectious disease specialists. 55.6%, expert lectures 55.0%.Doctors were strongly demanding lectures by specialists, but nurses were conspicuous in expecting a distribution system for infection protective equipment.
