In Asia, with the rapid development and consolidation of livestock as the population grows, animal infectious diseases are widespread, threatening the stable supply of safe livestock products and the sustainability of livestock.In response to this situation, the endowed course "OSG International Veterinary Medicine" was conducted through the development of academic research on the prevention of infectious diseases in animals and the improvement of the quality of veterinary education with a view to international cooperation and contribution with Asian countries. It was established for the purpose of human resource development and promotion of the livestock industry.
Research on animal infectious disease epidemic prevention measures is conducted in collaboration with OIE (World Organization for Animal Health), and in one health efforts, stable supply of safe and secure food through the bioethics of animals, infectious diseases and food, SDGs in the livestock industry and We hope that it will contribute to environmental conservation and contribute to a healthy and sustainable society.
In addition, in the contribution to Asia through international joint research, we will promote improvement of livestock hygiene measures in Asian countries, enhancement of clinical system for large animals, veterinary education, and education and research of regulatory science in the field of veterinary medicine in Japan and overseas.
