 The educational program started this time is a cross-faculty industry-academia collaborative education program centered on product manufacturing and manufacturing, which has never been seen before at Josai University.The laboratory of Assistant Professor Junta Ito (Pathological Analysis) of the Department of Medical Nutrition, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the laboratory of Associate Professor Keiya Tabe (Advertising Theory) of the Faculty of Business Administration will cooperate.Specifically, students in the Department of Medical Nutrition will develop a yokan using golden kabosu from Ogano Town, and students in the Faculty of Business Administration will be in charge of package design and branding, which will be linked to production and sales.

 In the Department of Medical Nutrition, we have been working on "JOSAI Collagen Yokan" (Beniume, Yuzu flavor, Salt flavor) focusing on collagen peptides, and a new golden kabosu yokan will be added.Students in the Department of Medical Nutrition will request cooperation from the Industrial Promotion Division of the Ogano Town Office, as well as request the production of yokan, negotiate business, and adjust the schedule.Students in the Tabe Laboratory of the Faculty of Business will utilize the design technology they have cultivated through the production of leaflets in Sakado City to design new product packages and measure marketing effectiveness.As with "Collagen Yokan," we commissioned Kinoshita Seizo Co., Ltd. to manufacture yokan.

 On April 2022, 4, seven students from the Department of Medical Nutrition gave a presentation to 19 students from the Tabe laboratory, carefully explaining the reasons for focusing on Chichibu Golden Kabosu and the production process of "Yokan". , Expressed the desire to raise awareness of Chichibu Golden Kabosu. On June 7, the students of the Tabe laboratory were the students of the pathological analysis laboratory, a total of eight students of the sports nutrition circle "ANSWER", Shinji Kinoshita, president of Kinoshita Seisakusho, and the Industrial Promotion Division of the Ogano Town Office. We gave a presentation to Mr. Katsuhide Kondo and others about the project name, product naming, package design, etc. for commercialization.

 In addition to improving the quality of the specialized knowledge of each department, the cross-departmental education program can be expected to have a higher educational effect than if the faculty alone worked on it through practical learning that proceeded while being aware of each other's learning areas.Associate Professor Tabe and Assistant Professor Ito will also objectively evaluate the educational effects of participating students through the program.
