TVer, the official TV distribution service for private broadcasting, is collaborating with Professor Takahiro Hoshino of the Faculty of Economics, Keio University to collaborate on effective promotion methods using push notifications to prevent missed distributions. Has entered.

According to TVer, it is stressful for TV viewers to miss a series of terrestrial broadcast programs such as serial dramas, and the missed program may prevent them from continuing to watch. TVer's missed distribution plays a role in helping viewers who missed the terrestrial broadcast to return to the terrestrial broadcast again, but the missed broadcast has become a problem.

TVer delivers push notifications to prevent them from being overlooked, but if you send them frequently or at the wrong time, it can be counterproductive. Therefore, in collaboration with Professor Hoshino, who is familiar with behavioral economics, we analyzed what kind of distribution is most effective and helps prevent oversight, and decided to improve push notifications.

In the joint research, TVer will carry out push notifications based on the viewing data and behavior data accumulated so far, and will proceed with analysis using statistics and machine learning.

TVer is a company established with the investment of commercial broadcasting key stations, quasi-key stations and major advertising agencies. We are proceeding with distribution.
