Kyoto City, Panasonic Corporation, Kyoto Sangyo University and others have announced that they will start a demonstration experiment of delivery boxes in "University Town, Kyoto", "Project to reduce redelivery of Kyo (Miyako)".
This project is sponsored by the city of Kyoto and is carried out in cooperation with Panasonic, Kyoto Sangyo University and a delivery company. Panasonic delivery boxes are installed in 5 apartments in Kyoto city (106 households in total) and Kyoto Sangyo. It will be installed on the university campus, and the actual usage and redelivery suppression effect will be investigated for about 3 months.
In the five years from 22 to 27, electronic commerce (EC) has increased by about 5 trillion yen (about 6%), and the number of parcel delivery services handled has increased by 76 million (5% increase).In Kyoto City, in order to reduce the environmental load caused by the rapid increase in courier services and to further promote the "walking town / Kyoto" through the ordering of logistics vehicles, "reduction of redelivery by promoting one-time delivery of courier services". I have been working on it.As part of this project, it will be an attempt through industry-academia-government collaboration.
There are 39 universities and junior colleges in Kyoto City, and about 1 students, equivalent to 15% of the population, study.This ratio is by far the best among ordinance-designated cities.
