Associate Professor Gerasikov explained that the Ukrainian people are united and resisting as the effects of Russia's military invasion affect the world order.In it, it was revealed that although classes at the university were suspended and resumed with online classes, education-related facilities were destroyed one after another and the situation remained unstable.He added that what Ukraine needs at this point is peace, saying, "I don't know when a missile will fly, such as an air raid warning in my area an hour ago. The students who participated said, "It's been a while since the beginning of the war, and after investigating what is happening between Russia and Ukraine in advance, I attended the lecture. What surprised me most was the media coverage. I learned that 80-90% of people believe that they still have the strength to stand up, although the Ukrainian people feel that they are at a disadvantage. I didn't really feel that I was there, but it was an opportunity to think about peace. "
Kwansei Gakuin University has set up a special section for books related to Ukraine at each library on the Nishinomiya Kamigahara Campus, Nishinomiya Seiwa Campus, and Kobe Mita Campus in conjunction with this lecture.Also, from June 3th to 6th, the cafeteria "BIG MAMA" of the university co-op on the Nishinomiya Kamigahara Campus was planned by the student refugee support circle "Spoon for Peace" (representative: Shinya Ozawa, 20rd year student of the Faculty of International Studies). The whole university tackled the Ukrainian problem by providing traditional Ukrainian food Vareniki (Ukrainian dumplings) and meat potatoes with tomato sauce to support sales.
