Started a disaster prevention learning tour utilizing Arahama Elementary School, which is the remains of the earthquake.Supervised by Associate Professor Akihiro Shibayama of the International Research Institute of Disaster Science, Tohoku University, it will be smart tourism using AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) technologies.

　According to Kinki Nippon Tourist, this disaster prevention learning tour is "Sendai AR HOPE TOUR". The idea of ​​AR tourism in the disaster area, which was proposed by a student of Miyagi Prefectural Agricultural High School at the "National High School Student Tourism Plan Contest" in 2014 and won the Grand Prix "Experience the past! Experience the present! Sympathize with the future! Let's fascinate everything-Time The concept of "sliding disaster area tour" was taken over and realized.

　Participants walked around the city starting from Arahama Elementary School in the Arahama area, and wore AR glasses using hologram optical technology developed by the Sony Group. I see.
In addition, the live voice of the storyteller guide and the narration that guides the facts of the earthquake will be integrated to deepen the understanding.It will be supervised by Associate Professor Shibayama from an academic point of view, and the participants will be able to think about disaster prevention again.

　Kinki Nippon Tourist has already conducted a demonstration experiment tour by inviting about 10 people involved in the earthquake and disaster prevention.Based on the results, the policy is to commercialize the tour, and it is expected that it will be used for educational trips for disaster prevention learning, training for risk management personnel of companies, and new menus for foreign tourists visiting Japan.
