"Stanford's Health Hackathon Health ++" is a development contest in which participants from various fields such as engineers, entrepreneurs, designers, and health care workers cooperate to tackle important issues in the field of health care. This year, 521 applicants and 52 projects participated in the event under the theme of "affordability" in health care.

The members of the team "Rota ++" are medical students, bioengineers, hardware engineers, software engineers (2 people), and product designers, 6 undergraduate and graduate students. They have developed a smart pacifier, "your pacifier," that aims to help hydrate the baby and support the actions parents should take when the baby is dehydrated. When one of the members conducted a public health survey in Asia and the Pacific Islands, he noticed that many children were hospitalized with dangerous dehydration due to diarrhea, and was born while thinking about a solution.

The sensor attached to the pacifier determines the baby's dehydration status, and if it is judged to be dangerous dehydration, the mobile app will notify the parents of the water content of the entire body of the baby, and the parents should do it further. Direct action. In addition, it can collect user data to detect epidemics of similar symptoms in the area, so sharing the information with hospitals can help analyze the status of infection.
