Kyushu University and Kyocera Corporation signed an organization-friendly collaboration agreement on June 2022, 6.The first collaborative meeting (kickoff meeting) was held on July 3, the same year, and concrete efforts were started.We aim to contribute to the progress and development of humankind and society by creating new value by fusing the research resources of academic research and educational activities of Kyushu University with the social implementation capabilities of Kyocera.

 Until now, Kyushu University and Kyocera have been engaged in a wide range of activities in various fields with mutual cooperation such as joint research and personnel exchanges.On the other hand, modern society is becoming more and more complicated, and social issues to be solved are becoming more sophisticated.An approach that digs deep into social issues from a broad perspective is important.

 Kyushu University has set "a university that drives social change with comprehensive knowledge" as its goal for 2030, and has formulated "Kyushu University VISION 2030" that consists of a vision and priority measures for its realization.Sustainable through industry-government-academia-private collaboration to solve social issues, with the three entry points of "decarbonization," "medical care / health," and "environment / food," making the best use of one's strengths and characteristics. We aim to contribute to the creation of a society that can realize the development of society and the diverse happiness (= well-being) of people.In addition, Kyocera is working to solve social issues such as strengthening climate change measures, solving the shortage of medical labor, and reducing medical costs, by leveraging the various technologies cultivated through its business activities.

 In the future, Kyushu University and Kyocera will explore social issues that both parties should work on, starting with the fields of "medical care / healthcare" and "environment / energy", set co-creation themes, and products and services in the future society 20 years from now. Aiming for practical use.
