Tokyo City University will open the Faculty of Design and Data Science on the Yokohama campus in April 2023.The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology accepted the installation notification on June 4, 2022, and approved the change of school rules related to the increase in capacity due to the establishment of the department on June 6.
The Department of Design and Data Science, Faculty of Design and Data Science, was established in April 2023 and has a capacity of 4 students.As a result, Tokyo City University will have eight faculties and 100 departments from 2023.
At the Faculty of Design and Data Science, we will hone our creativity based on our analytical skills that make use of "data science," and concretely conceive, design, and build new "things" and "things," that is, "design." Aim to acquire practical expertise for the purpose.
In the 1st and 2nd year, acquire analytical skills and international skills, and learn the basics of design and management. In the 3rd and 4th years, design will be developed internationally and practically.At the Yokohama Campus, where the culture of humanities and sciences is alive, we will develop global human resources who have solid analytical and creativity and can bring about new innovations.In addition, the Faculty of Design and Data Science has a study abroad program in which all students study abroad to cultivate not only language skills but also knowledge, cross-cultural understanding, and communication skills necessary for global human resources.
