On August 2022, 8, 5 high school students from both Tottori and Shimane prefectures participated in the Sanin Teacher Education Consortium's "Future Teachers" development project, Shimane University Faculty of Education.This was the first time that the Tottori Prefectural Board of Education and the Shimane University Faculty of Education collaborated to hold this event.
According to Shimane University, 8 high school students from Tottori Prefecture and 2 from Shimane Prefecture participated in the project from eight schools in Tottori Prefecture and two from Shimane Prefecture.Seven faculty members and 92 undergraduate students from Shimane University's Faculty of Education, 14 from Tottori Prefecture and 7 from Shimane Prefecture from the board of education and high school joined.
Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event was held online, but after attending a lecture by Shigesuke Tsuda, a lecturer at Shimane University's Faculty of Education, the participants actively exchanged opinions in group work.Among them, there were voices such as "My desire to become a teacher became stronger" and "I was happy that my opinions were developed through group work and new opinions were born."
In addition to participating in a Q&A session with university teachers and current university students, the participating high school students also listened to recruitment exam information from the Tottori and Shimane Boards of Education.
