 The “New Japan Representative Program” will update the “global leader image” that will create the future of Japan and the learning through study abroad, and develop human resources who will contribute to solving social issues and creating new industries in Japan.Based on donations from private companies, etc. (target amount of 100 billion yen), financial support will be provided to a total of 5 students, including 4,000 high school students and 1,000 university students, in five years, and study abroad. By creating opportunities, we will reinvigorate study abroad momentum in Japan.In terms of university students, we aim to produce 5,000 human resources in five years who will give back to society what they have gained through studying abroad and become “global leaders who will themselves bring about social change” in the future.

 University students, etc. (15th term) are eligible for Japanese students enrolled in Japanese universities, graduate schools, junior colleges, technical colleges (4th year and above, including advanced courses), and specialized training colleges. . Recruiting from 3 courses, each of which is a challenging study abroad plan "Innovator Course" that tries to create new value, 50 students, "STEAM Course", a study abroad plan in the STEAM area that contributes to technological innovation and the creation of new industries 100 students. 100 students will be recruited for the "Diversity Course", a study abroad program in various fields such as sports, art, and general knowledge.In addition, about 1% of the total will be recruited from the new university's first year.Also, about 1% of the STEAM courses are planned to be recruited from colleges of technology.

 The period of study abroad is for a study abroad plan with an activity period of 28 days or more to 1 year, and a period of 3 months or more is recommended.Study abroad will start from August 2023, 8 to March 1, 2024.A monthly scholarship of 3 yen or 31 yen (depending on the region of study), study abroad reserve funds (120,000 yen for Asia and 160,000 yen for other regions), and 150,000 yen for tuition fees.The monthly scholarship will be 250,000 yen if it exceeds the household budget.In addition, the cost of various tests for COVID-300,000 is included in the study abroad reserve fund.
