According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, 29 plans to be promoted by 21 national universities nationwide have been adopted for the national university management reform promotion project, and an expert panel consisting of seven academic experts, including Setsuo Arikawa, president of the Open University of Japan, has made progress on the plans.
