According to the Ministry of Education, support targets are selected from universities, junior colleges, and colleges of technology with a capacity sufficiency rate of 80 to 107%, and management-enhanced type A, which allocates an average of 3,000 million yen, and a capacity sufficiency rate of 50 to 80. There is a management improvement type B that selects from 3,500% and allocates an average of XNUMX million yen.
In 2017, 109 schools applied for Type A, of which 36 universities and 27 junior colleges were selected, for a total of 63 schools.There are 55 applications for Type B, and a total of 28 schools, including 15 universities and 43 junior colleges, have been selected.
