A research group led by Associate Professor Jun Kuroki (Graduate School of Data Science) of Yokohama City University's Faculty of International Commerce is working with the Social Welfare Corporation Financial Analysis Project Team of the Sogo Welfare Study Group to analyze the finances of approximately 2 social welfare corporations nationwide. Developed a financial deviation value system using statement data and started operation.Provide reference information for management improvement to social welfare corporations that request it.
According to Yokohama City University, based on scientific knowledge, the research group selected seven useful indicators for decision-making of social welfare corporations, classified social welfare corporations by major welfare services such as nursing care and childcare, calculated the financial deviation value ofWe have created a system that allows each corporation to support autonomous management improvement by looking at the financial deviation value.
In developing the system, the research group drew on the theory of aspiration levels (target values), which are motivated by the desire to experience success and avoid failure. When the actual financial performance exceeds the target value, there is a lack of aspiration in which the management becomes satisfied with the current situation and loses interest. Assuming that there is a possibility that it will be out of stock, we have devised ways to increase motivation by looking at the financial deviation value.
The research group hopes that this system will stimulate the aspirations of social welfare corporation managers and, as a result, improve the quality of welfare services.
