The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology announced that the 2022 National University Reform and Research Base Strengthening Promotion Subsidy (National University Management Reform Promotion Project) will be promoted by Niigata University. A total of 14 schools and 10 projects such as "Promotion" were adopted.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the target of the support is national university corporations that promote distinctive educational and research activities as the core of a region or a specific field, and national university corporations that aim to develop top-level education. Over a four-year period, we will subsidize the expenses necessary for preparing for regional collaboration, personnel expenses for foreign teachers, and research expenses for strategic planning.
In addition to Niigata University, Nagaoka University of Technology, and Toyohashi University of Technology, among national university corporations that promote distinctive education and research activities as the core of regions and specific fields, are promoting the utilization of the Metaverse and the establishment of an education and research system through resource management of the University of Science and Technology. A total of 5 proposals were selected, including "Improvement of value" and "Building a young human resource development platform that integrates graduate school education and research promotion" by the University of Yamanashi.
National university corporations aiming to develop top-level education include: Kobe University's "Management Reform to Form a Global Base for Co-Creative Research and Education in Different Fields Leading Social Change" and Chiba University's "Strategic Analysis Management through University Digital Reform". A total of 5 projects were selected, including the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology's "Management Autonomous Concept for the Creation of a Distinctive Leading-edge Research University."
