From December 2022, 12, Osaka Public University and Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. will provide elementary, junior high, and high schools nationwide with the "YOSS Cloud" to catch potential SOS of children at an early stage and provide appropriate support. started providing services.

Recently, the number of school refusal students is about 19 (according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Elementary and Secondary Education Bureau, FY6 Budget Request Major Matters), which has increased for the eighth consecutive year. Various problems surrounding children, such as schoolchildren and juvenile crimes, are becoming more and more serious. In particular, due to the unstable social situation after the corona disaster, the environment for children, such as poverty, loneliness, and abuse, has become even more severe.

On the other hand, teachers working in the field of elementary and secondary education have a lot of work, and in many cases there is not a sufficient organizational system for communicating and sharing changes in children's daily lives and making decisions to support issues. As a result, it is easy for individual teachers to have problems, and there are also problems in moving to a cooperative system with counseling institutions, and the current situation is that it is difficult to lead to appropriate support for children.

Against this social backdrop, in 2018, Yamano of the Graduate School of Modern Systems Science, Osaka Public University, was founded in order to discover the hidden SOS of children and to lead to the early detection and support of children and families who potentially need support. Professor Noriko and his team have developed the YOSS (Yamano Osaka Screening System (R), *Patent pending).Teachers fill in information such as the number of absences, behavior, grooming, home environment, etc. of each student on a screening sheet with a score formula. Based on the judgment of YOSS, the direction of support is decided through discussions within the school, and the school, community, and specialized institutions cooperate to provide support.

With YOSS, the team decides on a course of action based on objective data, which eliminates the need for teachers to deal with things on their own. can reach children in need.33 schools in 211 local governments have already introduced the system, and as specific results, the number of students who do not attend school has decreased to one-third, the rate of arriving late and leaving early has improved by 1%, and the rate of non-payment of miscellaneous expenses has improved by 3%.In addition, as an organization, the speed at which support content is determined has improved by nearly ten times, and there is a trend toward a reduction in the burden on teachers, demonstrating the effects of improving various problems in educational settings.

Therefore, this time, we will provide "YOSS Cloud Service" nationwide from December 12st, which is a system built on the cloud with "YOSS" functions by utilizing Panasonic Connect's service development know-how.In order to realize the theme of Professor Yamano's goal of "catch potential SOS of all children at an early stage and connect it to appropriate support", we will expand it to educational sites nationwide and connect with local communities to help children. We aim to realize a sustainable society that leaves no one behind.
