Collaborative research groups such as Jichi Medical University treat the difference in pathology between ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), which is a pediatric neurodevelopmental disorder, with and without ASD (autism spectrum disorder). It was visualized from the difference in the pattern of changes in brain function before and after taking the drug. The research results were published in "Neuropsychiatry" (IF 4.77).

It is said that ASD coexists in about half of ADHD, and much attention is being paid to changes in pathological conditions due to coexistence.Against this background, this study was the first in the world to capture changes in brain function due to therapeutic agents in brain function research.

In the future, based on the results of this research, it is expected that efforts will be made toward brain function research and clinical application to ADHD.

The results of this research are: Department of Pediatrics, Autonomous Medical University (Assistant Professor Naohiro Ikeda, Associate Professor Yukifumi Kadota, Lecturer Masako Nagashima, Chief Professor Takanori Yamagata, etc.), Faculty of Science and Technology, Chuo University (Researcher Tatsuya Tokuda, Professor Ippei Dan), International Medical Sciences This is a joint research with the Department of Pediatrics, International University of Health and Welfare, International Medical and Welfare Rehabilitation Center, Center for Children's Mental Health, Chuo University, Faculty of Letters, Chuo University, and Faculty of Human Sociology, Japan Women's University.
