Keio University and BizReach, a career change website operator, have signed a partnership agreement with the aim of creating world-class start-up companies.We also plan to create a database of visiting entrepreneurs by matching researchers aiming to start a business with visiting entrepreneurs who have side or side jobs on BizReach.

According to Visional, the parent company of BizReach, after concluding a partnership agreement, Keio University and BizReach held meetings at Keio University's Mita Campus in Minato-ku, Tokyo. Professor Seiko Shirasaka of the Graduate School of Management and Soichiro Minami, the founder of BizReach, held a press conference to explain the concept.

The purpose of the partnership agreement is to build a "Keio version of the EIR (Visiting Entrepreneur) model" and to create startup companies that make use of the research that was born at Keio University.We will build a database of visiting entrepreneurs by matching researchers aiming to start a business with visiting entrepreneurs who have side jobs or side jobs on BizReach, and build a system that allows researchers to approach professional human resources before starting a business.Visiting entrepreneurs will be able to get involved with university startups without changing jobs.

As the first step of this model, we are looking for visiting entrepreneurs who will work together with Professor Hideyuki Maki of Keio University's Faculty of Science and Technology to develop the world's first new integrated optical device using nanocarbon.Keio University aims to create 1 startups by 2026.
