On May 2018, 5, Nihon National Instruments Co., Ltd. (NI Japan) announced the latest version "NI ELVIS III" of the engineering education tool "NI ELVIS (Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite)" for university students.By integrating IoT solutions that can handle everything from basic learning to tackling actual design issues, web-based measurement functions and embedded design, we support university education with the goal of developing the next generation of engineers and researchers.

Universities are currently looking for ways to guarantee program credits and improve student abilities for employment.Students should also be able to acquire solid technical skills while acquiring the skills necessary for work such as cooperation, ability to tackle inconclusive problems, and teamwork.University leaders need flexible project-based solutions for lessons and experiments to solve these challenges.

The engineering education tool "NI ELVIS III" announced this time is a solution built by incorporating student-centered tools for learning, measurement, and design. In addition to measurement functions, embedded FPGA design, and web-based measurement functions, we have integrated a curriculum to build a collaborative and active learning environment in laboratories, classrooms, and flipped classrooms. The extension of the NI ELVIS platform for use in more subjects in electrical and mechanical engineering will enable students to acquire the skills needed to design, implement, and test projects.
