 Chiba University of Commerce's "Comprehensive Evaluation Type Entrance Examination" is an entrance examination that conducts "multifaceted and comprehensive evaluation of motivation, ability, aptitude, etc." advocated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as a university entrance examination reform.In addition to the score of the academic ability test, the "average rating", "attendance status", "acquisition status of qualifications / certifications", "extracurricular activities such as clubs, student organizations, volunteer activities", etc. Evaluate and make a pass / fail judgment.This "comprehensive evaluation type entrance examination" was the earliest introduction at universities in Chiba prefecture as an entrance examination in anticipation of university entrance examination (high school connection) reform from 2020.

 The results of the comprehensive evaluation type entrance examination in 2018 are 86 applicants, 39 successful applicants, and 24 enrollees in the general entrance examination, and the enrollment rate is 61.5%.The enrollment rate was 39% with 15 applicants, 8 successful applicants, and 53.3 enrollees using the center test.Both the general entrance examination and the use of the center have a high entrance rate, and it is considered that the examinees with high aspirations for admission used this system.

 At Chiba University of Commerce, by introducing a "comprehensive evaluation type entrance examination" that evaluates the diverse abilities and experiences of the examinees, high school students will be able to take on the challenge with an entrance examination method that makes the best use of their strengths. I hope that the faculty will also be able to acquire motivated and capable examinees who meet the policy.

 In addition, from the 2019 entrance examination, the high school connection portal site "JAPAN e-Portfolio" will also be used to select university enrollees.The policy is to evaluate the activity results and learning of high school students according to the three elements of academic ability (knowledge / skills / thinking ability / judgment ability / expressive ability / independence / diversity / collaboration).
