The Department of Dermatology, Tokyo Women's Medical University, MTI Co., Ltd., and Stagen Co., Ltd. have analyzed the data of the genomes and characteristics of about 1 people using big data analysis technology. We have newly discovered seven characteristics and strongly related gene regions related to "ease", "single double eyelids", "thickness of eyebrows", "hair quality", "hair depth", and "ease of sweating".

Genome and characteristic data are collected from about 2 collaborators of MTI's "Luna Luna" menstrual day management tool.DNA was extracted from saliva collected at home, and genetic information of about 60 SNP * was read.Furthermore, the results of a web questionnaire on the genetic information and constitution of 11,311 people and about 54 SNPs obtained by extracting only highly accurate samples and SNPs were used as analysis data.

As a result of the analysis, it became clear that those who answered "prone to stains" and "prone to freckles" in the questionnaire had a combination of genotypes characteristic of chromosomes 5 and 10, respectively, PPARGC1B. , RAB11FIP2 was a gene region called.

It was also found that those who chose "double eyelids" as their physical characteristics had a characteristic genotype combination in the gene region called EMX10 on chromosome 2. EMX2 is an important gene for bone and nerve development, and it has been reported that it is involved in the formation of the skull and face, suggesting that it may have some effect on the formation of double eyelids.

Also, for those who choose "hairy", the characteristic genotype combinations may be in the gene regions called TBX1 on chromosome 15, GCC2 and LIMS2 on chromosome 1, and BCL18 on chromosome 2. all right. BCL2 is known to be a gene involved in the cell death and growth cycle of hair follicles (cells around the hair root), and other genes may also be involved in hair follicle growth and hair elongation. Gender is inferred.

The results obtained in this research will be applied to the development of services such as improving the constitution and supporting the selection of cosmetics according to individual skin types, as well as the development of new beauty technologies, cosmetics, and external medicines for dermatology. It is also expected to be connected.

* SNP is a single nucleotide polymorphism. One location that varies from individual to individual in the approximately 30 billion human genome sequences.
