In this survey, NISTEP conducted a questionnaire on science and technology that are currently attracting attention to the expert network, and by collecting and accumulating the latest knowledge of experts widely every year, we can detect early signs of science and technology and society. 　The most common science and technology keywords were AI-related, such as “artificial intelligence,” “machine learning,” and “deep learning.”Quantum science and technology-related topics such as "quantum computers", "quantum cryptography" and "quantum mechanics", space technology-related topics such as "space exploration", "space utilization" and "space resources" followed by "carbon neutral" and "decarbonization" ”, “Carbon-free”, followed by “Big data”, “Data-driven science” and so on.

　Regarding the prospects for the realization of these notable science and technology, more than half of the respondents answered that they will be “5 years to less than 10 years”. Expansion of development costs/business subsidies", "Improvement of research infrastructure/improvement of business environment", "Domestic collaboration/international collaboration", "Development of laws and regulations (relaxation/abolition or strengthening/new establishment of laws and regulations/standards)", "Ethical Responding to issues”, etc.

　In the future, the results will be carefully examined and analyzed, and will be utilized in examining science and technology topics in the next Science and Technology Foresight Survey, as well as actively providing them to policy discussions.
