The University of Tsukuba and Dentsu Inc. have signed a partnership agreement aimed at developing human resources and developing solutions for the realization of a "diversity inclusion" society that respects diverse personalities and aims for social participation by all.

The purpose of the cooperation agreement is to establish and disseminate "diversity inclusion" as an academic discipline, which is gaining attention due to the diversification of society.By combining academics centered on the University of Tsukuba, which has been conducting advanced research and initiatives, with the knowledge and know-how cultivated by Dentsu, we mainly develop human resources, develop products and services for diverse individuals, and communicate. Through this, we will promote the realization of a "diversity inclusion" society.

With the cooperation of Dentsu, the University of Tsukuba aims to establish diversity science as a new academic field and to establish Japan's first bachelor's degree program in this field. With a view to establishing a specialized education course that allows students to obtain a degree, it is intended for working adults who can obtain a master's degree MDA (Master of Diversity Administration) for corporate management and management candidates in the medium to long term. Consider setting up an educational program.

In addition, regarding "diversity inclusion," we will promote research and form advanced know-how through practice, and develop solutions for solving corporate and administrative issues. In order to disseminate these efforts, we will jointly plan and implement a public symposium inviting human resources who are active in the Paralympic sports and the front lines of business, and extension courses for students and adults from the fall of 2018.
