On the 28th, a special lecture by astronaut Satoshi Furukawa will be held at the Inohana Memorial Hall of Chiba University in Inohana, Chuo-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture.He was invited as a lecturer to the "Special Lecture on Fostering Highly Liberal Arts" at the Graduate School of Medicine and Pharmacy, and the title was "International Space Station and Space Medicine."It is open to the public and there is no entry fee.

Mr. Furukawa was born in 1964 in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.Graduated from the University of Tokyo School of Medicine and obtained a doctorate in medicine in 2000.After working as a surgeon at the University of Tokyo Hospital, he was selected as an astronaut by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency in 1999.After that, he received training at NASA and was certified as an astronaut in 2001. In 2011, he boarded the Russian Soyuz spacecraft and stayed at the International Space Station for 167 days.

This is the 11th lecture of Doshisha University's "Special Lecture to Foster High Culture".It has been held with the aim of developing leaders who can play an active role globally.Toshihide Maskawa, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2008, and other celebrities in various fields have been instructors.Mr. Furukawa's lecture is scheduled for 4 hour from 10:1 pm.
