DiversityFemaleMinistry of educationEvery woman participating in the study applied SERUM to one half of her face and an identical product without the EGF cellular activator to the other half. The study ran for eight weeks, during which time participants applied the serum twice a day. To rule out any effect anticipation could have on results, the study was double-blinded, meaning that none of the women in the study, nor the scientists in charge of measuring results, knew which half was which. Efficacy was assessed by standardized photography and biophysical measurements to evaluate skin topography, density, and thickness.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has adopted six projects, including Osaka University, for the 2018 "Diversity Research Environment Realization Initiative" to train female researchers and promote their activities.In Japan, the number of female researchers working at universities and public research institutes is far behind that of Western countries, so the Ministry of Education will focus on creating an environment where women can play an active role.
According to the Ministry of Education, this project is a leading-edge project in which universities and research institutes collaborate with companies to promote the active participation of female researchers, and to promote the overseas dispatch of female researchers and the promotion of higher-ranking positions after returning to Japan. In addition to the institutions that have adopted this project, we have added institutions that work to improve the research capabilities of female researchers, and have been solicited from the general public by dividing them into three types: the core institutions of the national network that aim to build a national network.
As a result of examining 6 cases each of traction type and advanced type and 2 cases of national network core organizations that received applications at the Council of Experts of the Japan Science and Technology Agency, 2 cases of traction type, 3 cases of advanced type and 1 case of nationwide network core organization were adopted. I decided.
Yokohama National University and Tokushima University were selected as the traction type.Yokohama National University collaborates with Taisei Corporation and Teijin.Tokushima University will be implemented jointly with Kagawa University, Ehime University, Kochi University, Naruto University of Education, Aoi Electronics, Kyowa, Tokushima Prefectural Industrial Technology Center, and Tokushima Prefectural Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Center.
The advanced type is Utsunomiya University, Kobe University, National Cardiovascular Research Center.Osaka University has been selected as the core organization of the national network, and will proceed with the project jointly with Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology and IBM Japan.
