Kyoto University of Foreign Studies will open a Russian language department in the Faculty of Foreign Studies in April 2020 as part of the university reform.

 Nowadays, it is pointed out that it is important for each country to cooperate and tackle global issues such as global integration and diversification.Based on this social background, Kyoto University of Foreign Studies has decided to open a Russian language department in the Faculty of Foreign Studies because it is important to know the situation in Russia in order to know the world.

 In the Russian language department, in addition to advanced skills in Russian, we aim to develop human resources who understand the diversity of Russia and its surrounding areas and can solve global problems from a new perspective.Capacity is 20 people (planned).

 Kyoto University of Foreign Studies was founded in 1947.Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​(English and American, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, International Liberal Arts) and International Contribution (Global Studies,) Global Tourism Department) 2 faculties and 11 departments. * The Department of International Liberal Arts will stop recruiting students from April 2018 (recruitment of students will continue for transfer)
